Frevo is a rhythm musical and a dance Brazilian originating in the state of Pernambuco. His music is based on the fusion of genres such as marchgherkinfolded up and polka, and his dance was influenced by capoeira.It was declared Intangible Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO in 2012, under the name "Frevo: Arte do Espetáculo do Carnaval do Recife".

Lavagem do Bonfim is an inter-religious celebration that takes place in Salvador da Bahia, Brazil. It takes place on the Thursday before the second Sunday after Three Kings Day, in the month of January.

Bobbin Lacemaker

bobbin lace arrived in Brazil through Portuguese customs. The art appeared in Portugal in 1560 and was restricted to convents serving liturgical ornamentation and, later, the practice was expanded among women in the region. Present in the Northeast of Brazil and in the South (Santa Catarina).
